M4A3E8 "Fury" Player Guide

The legendary M4A3E8 “Fury” is back in Blitz after a long absence, and whether you’re taking it out for the first time or revisiting an old friend, we’ve put together a short guide for getting the most out of this versatile tank.

Keep it Versatile

The Fury excels at many of the basic medium tank tactics, so when taking it into battle you’ll want to pay attention and help the team where needed. This might mean a flanking maneuver, supporting a heavy tank assault, or just picking out targets for tank destroyers. Don’t get bogged down focusing on one task, stay fluid, and support!

Use the Terrain

A good horsepower-to-weight ratio and gun depression means that the Fury is a suitable tank for going “hull down,” by peeking turret over obstacles and protecting hull. Use that engine power to find a good spot early on and take advantage of the gun depression to maximize fire. In addition, if you start taking too much enemy fire, use that power to get out of there!

Set Sights

How you engage enemies will depend on situation, but here’s a few things to keep in mind:

Play interference against any light tanks trying to scout. The tank’s mobility means you’ll probably encounter them before your team’s heavy tanks do, so knock ’em out early.

Support heavy tanks by flanking hard to hit enemy heavy tanks or tank destroyers. While the team’s heavy tanks keep them tied down, move to a position where you can hit lightly-armored areas or knock out tracks to hinder their mobility.

Struggling to penetrate the thick armor of heavy tanks or tank destroyers? Load some High Explosive rounds.

Fury Tips: Don’t rely on armor. Keep out of harm’s way with speed and keep moving until you’re behind cover. You’re a support tank, so stick with the pack for best results. Don’t be a lone wolf. Platoon with another medium or heavy tank.
