Meet the “Geese”

The “Goose Tales” event offers players the chance to walk away with two new tanks: the M6A2E1 and M6A2E1 EXP. These tanks got their waterfowl nicknames because of their shapes and tenacity, but what are they really like?

Both are American heavy tanks, but the M6A2E1 is tier VII and the M6A2E1 EXP is tier VIII. As you’d expect for their class, both feature serious armor and limited mobility. With 119mm armor in the front and partially slopped upper glacis plates, they can take some serious head-on punishment. There are frontal weak spots, but keep the turret moving to minimize the chance of those getting punctured. The rear of the turret has even more armor – 208mm, more than enough to keep you protected from behind.

In terms of maneuverability, neither of these tanks are swans. A top speed of 29 km/h, traverse speed of 25 deg/s, and a turret traverse of 24 deg/s means you’ll be relying on their armor and guns in a firefight. While largely similar, the difference between the two tanks is largely one of firepower. Both have low rate-of-fire, good penetration and great damage per shot. The M6A2E1 can dish out 310 HP of damage, while the M6A2E1 EXP delivers a whopping 400 HP. Thanks to their high turrets, both have good gun elevation and depression: 10 degrees down, and 20 degrees up.

Earn either of these tanks in Goose Tales, happening now!
